The Centre for Arts, Sports and Technology (CAST) is an Australian research organisation connecting the entertainment industry with the technology shaping it. This policy explains what we collect across the-cast.org and CAST products such as Index, and how we handle it. Questions or requests: join@the-cast.org.
What we collect
Contact and membership forms: your name, email address and message when you get in touch or sign up. CAST Account: your email address and encrypted login credentials when you create an account. Index searches: the text of searches run on Index, collected without your name or account attached unless you are signed in. Analytics: standard usage data such as pages visited, approximate location and device type.
How we use it
To respond when you contact us, to operate and improve our products and research, to understand which tools the industry is looking for, and to send updates you have asked for. We do not sell personal information.
Where it lives
Our website is hosted with Framer. Accounts, searches and our index run on managed cloud infrastructure (Supabase). Form submissions and email are processed by the providers behind those services. Each provider stores only what it needs to run its part of the service.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your CAST Account. Email join@the-cast.org and we will action it promptly.
